Mel John serves as Commercial Operations Manager of Chicago Title. His responsibilities include directing the Commercial Team and seeking new business opportunities.
Mr. John’s previous experience includes more than 30 years in the title insurance industry. Before joining Chicago Title, he served as Vice President of the Commercial Division for Commerce Title Company.
Over the years, he has held various senior management positions including Senior Account Manager for LandAmerica Financial Group, President of Safeco Land Title, Executive Vice President for Donna Vaughn & Associates and Senior Vice President and Southwest Division Manager for Ticor Title Insurance.
Mel’s early career in the title business began in California while attending the University of California-Los Angeles pursuing his bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance. Mel was brought to Dallas by Pioneer Title Company where he became Vice President, District Manager.
